  1. My favorite postcard is postcard #3! It is so fun! The use of fantasy with the barn scene works great, especially the characters from Shrek. It is a great way to look at the barn in a different way. Your Photoshop skills really stand out in this postcard, especially with converting the texture of the barn to look like stone.

  2. 1. I like the idea of the first postcard.
    2. I like this postcard, but I wish the idea was a little different from the first.
    3. This is my favorite. I love the brickwork on the barn. The Shrek characters are amazing!
    4. I like the idea of this postcard.

  3. I think that the photographs of the barn are great. I think that there could have been a little more attention to the detail with the tools. There may be a slight white border, I think that inversing your selection might help. Also it might help create realism if you added some shadows to the animals. I think for the last postcard it might help if you added more contrast to the text to allow more readability.

  5. your photos are beautiful, the red siding of the barn really nicely contrasts with the snow

I like the quote you used in the last postcard. It really speaks to the abandoned barn. It works even more because the barn is out in the country away from people.

  7. 1.I like the second one the most because it is the most convincing

    2. It is very convincing and the snow looks like it is actually being kicked up.

    3. The way the horses are running at you is very convincing and makes it extremely three dimensional.

  8. While your postcards were subtle, the meaning behind them were not. You did a great job flawlessly putting these images together.
I think number 3 is also my favorite. It’s fun to see the barn transformed into an actual castle, while putting in cartoon characters into the real world. It gives an unused barn in a local dog park a whimsical feeling. The only thing I would change in your whole set would possibly doing something to make the writing a little more readable on the side of the barn in image 4. I didn't notice that there was writing until you mentioned it. Great job overall though!

  9. The concept behind the first postcard is very compelling, and I like the idea behind putting the barn back into its original context. I, too, am curious why this barn is part of a dog park, and think that this re-imagining of the barn really brings it to life, like you said.

I think there is also a juxtaposition of the winter landscape and farm animals outside. This idea, too, makes you question what the barn really is and is for.

  10. 1. The text on the fourth card is subtle but not too subtle. The concept behind it was very strong and I really enjoy it!
    2. The other 3 images though are just a bit to roughly photoshopped that they look comical/cheesy. Made it hard to take the meaning behind them seriously. That might just be my personal taste though so I mean no offense by it. The snow you added in the second image did show good technique and was successful.
    3. I know that the majority of our images used were supposed to be our own and I feel like other than the barn a lot of the image components were sourced from the internet. The variety of image qualities put together just looks a bit odd...
    4. I wished you digged a little bit deeper and maybe stepped away from all the animals. Like, what kind of activities happen at a barn? History of barns? etc

  11. I really like the third postcard. The characters are so natural with the barn that make the scene very interesting.

  12. I liked that his theme was consistent and playful. Concept is clear, definitely leaves you questioning the past in a way that is effective. I like that he constructed those images using animals and making the barn in each postcard come to life.
